We will collect, use, and store such personal information (as defined below) in accordance with the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and other relevant Israeli laws (the “Applicable Law”).

    • This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use It with respect to: 
  • Individuals who access and visit our Website or individuals using the application(s) connected to our Hotel for booking and reservations (the “users”);
  • Individuals entering the Hotel, including but not limited to: guests, visitors, accompanying individuals, club members, guests of any of the above (including family members and minors), suppliers and any other individual who wishes to enter the grounds of our Hotel and/or to use the facilities of the Hotels and/or to meet another individual who is a guest or who is visiting the grounds of the Hotels, or who use or wish to use the services offered by the Hotel;
  • Visitors to our social media and digital pages; and 
  • Any individual contacting our Hotel in any way including via telephone our Website. 
  • We recommend that you read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using our Website or our Services, you confirm that you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy in its entirety, as it will be amended from time to time. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, we kindly ask you to stop using our Website and our Services immediately.
  • What is Personal Information? 

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, Personal Information means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly to you, as well as “Information” and “Sensitive Information” as defined under Applicable Law (the “Personal Information“). 

For example, in order to book a hotel room, you will be required to provide us with the following Personal Information about you: your full name, arrival and departure dates, payment method details, identification number, phone number, and email address, special requests regarding you accommodation, etc.

The Personal Information collected and processed about you may identify you personally, either directly (e.g. your name) or indirectly, by using online identifiers – such as user ID, IP address, phone number, etc.

  • The Data Controller and No legal obligation
    • The Hotel serves as a Data Controller of Personal Data collected under this Privacy Policy. It is clarified that you do not have any legal obligation to provide us with any Personal Information or any other information when visiting or using our Website and Services, and the provision of such Personal Information by you is based on your free will only and is done with your consent. However, without providing the relevant Personal Information, you may not be able to perform various actions through our Website or access or use our Services. For example, without providing payment details, it will not be possible to complete a hotel room reservation through the Website, and without providing contact details we will not be able to contact you regarding your inquiry or reservation.
    • If you submit any Personal Information relating to another person (e.g., if you make a reservation for another individual, such as a family member or other), you represent that you are authorized by that person to do so and to permit us to use the Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You also represent that all such Personal Information you provide is accurate and up to date.
  • What Personal Information about you do we collect and process?
    • Personal Information provided by you: 
      • When placing a hotel room reservation through the Website, customer support and our Services, you will be required to provide the following Personal Information: full name, phone number, passport number, arrival date and period of stay, the number of rooms in the reservation, the number of people in the reservation, the type of room and specific requests (such as type of bed, breakfast, etc.), the age of your children (if relevant), email address, credit card information (that will be processed via third party services upon PCI rules) and other Personal Information you shall submit to us in connection to your reservation.
      • Personal Information about your visit, usage of our Service and you stay in our Hotel, including dates, behaviors (i.e. via security cameras), goods and services purchased, preferences, your communications with our customer support  and call centers, that may be recorded for purposes of quality assurance and training, guest preferences such as your interests, activities, vacation preferences, food and beverage choices, services and amenities of which you advise us or which we learn about during your visit;
      • Personal Information collected through our security systems: Images and video data via security cameras located in public areas, such as in our Hotel’s hallways and lobbies, in our properties (closed circuit television systems – CCTV and electronic card key), as well data on your access to our Hotel’s rooms and premises via electronic key cards.
      • Demographic data (age, gender, country, and preferred language);
      • Data about family members and companions, such as names and ages of children;
      • When booking a meeting room, a conference hall, or any of our Services such as our Gym, Spa, chef restaurant, you will be required to provide the following Personal Information: type of meeting room, full name, email address, phone number, goods and services purchased, preferences, health statement for your use of the Spa or Gym and any specific requests.
      • To initiate an application process through our Website to contact us, you will be required to provide the following Personal Information: your full name, phone number, and email address. Additionally, you will be prompted to enter your specific request in the designated text box. We would like to emphasize that any details you enter into the text box will be transmitted to us exactly as provided (“as is”). Therefore, we kindly request that you include only essential information relevant to your request. Please note that by voluntarily disclosing Personal Information within this text box, you explicitly consent to the collection, processing, and utilization of such Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not consent to the aforementioned processing and use of your Personal Information, we kindly ask that you refrain from providing or sharing such details with us through the text box.
      • Newsletter, Promotional content and Direct Marketing: when signing up for our newsletter, upon your consent, you will be required to enter your name and email address. Subscribing to the newsletter signifies your consent to receive advertisements and marketing offers from us, including offers from third parties or related companies among our Elco Ltd. Group, that we think may be of interest to you. You retain the right to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, by either utilizing the dedicated unsubscribe link embedded within the message or by contacting us through our Website.
    • Additional Personal Information collected about you:
      • Automatic collection of Personal Information during website browsing: When you use or interact with our website and/or use our Application, we receive and store information generated by your activity and information automatically collected from your browser or mobile device. For example, like many websites, we obtain certain information when your web browser accesses our website including your IP address, browser type, operating system, mobile network data, pages viewed and access times, etc. This information helps us to communicate with our Users and customers and provide them with our Services. This Personal Information is gathered through the utilization of various tracking and technological tools, mainly cookies files, as detailed in section ‎6 below.
      • Collection of Personal Information from third parties: We may receive Personal Information about you from third parties, such as travel agents, tourists’ agencies, including from the EU and other countries, credit card companies, state authorities in order to meet legal requirements, surveys companies and our sub-contractors and services providers, as well as other third parties. We subsequently include it among the Personal Information we collect through our Services and Website. This information enables us to provide the Services, enhance our understanding of your preferences and provide a more tailored experience in your visit in our Hotel.
      • Customer Support & Call Centers. We collect Personal Information when you make a reservation over the phone, communicate with us by email, fax or via online chat services or contact customer service (including third parties customer services). These communications may be recorded for purposes of quality assurance and training.
      • Aggregated Data. We may aggregate data that we collect and this aggregated data will not personally identify you or our Users for statistical purposes and business developments. 
  • The George Club
    • Our Hotel operates a unique member club, as further detailed on the following link: https://thegeorgetelaviv.com/clubrules/ (the “George Club”). As a member of the George Club, you will be requested to provide us with the following Personal Information about you: full name, date of birth, ID number, gender, image (optional), payment information, phone number, references by proposers and your specific preferences regarding our various Services. 
    • We may also film, video or photograph our member events and activities at our club for use in our membership programs, as well as advertising, promotions, public relations, and other commercial/business purposes. If you take part in these interviews or events, you agree to the use of your name, image, and other Personal Information. You also consent to us publishing any materials produced by, or for, us for any purpose without your further consent, and you waive your right to receive any payment from us in connection with such publication.
  • Sensitive Data

Unless specifically requested, we ask that you not send us, or disclose, on or through the Services or otherwise, to us, any Sensitive Personal Data (e.g data related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion, ideological or other beliefs, health, biometrics or genetic characteristics, criminal background, administrative or criminal proceedings and sanctions).

Use of Services by Minors: our Website is not intended for minors under the age of 18 and if you are a minor you are requested not to use our Website, or you represent that you have parents or other legal guardian’s consent. We do not intend to collect or process Personal Information on children, except to the extent such information is requested as part of our guest registration process, but always with the consent of such person’s parent or legal guardian which you represent and provide us through your use of our Services for your relatives, including minors.

    • We collect your Personal Information only to operate effectively our Website and Services, and provide you with the best experiences while using our Services and Website. Therefore, we collect, use, and disclose the Personal Information for the following purposes (the “Purposes“):
      • Fulfillment of Reservation: We may process information relating to transactions that you enter into with us and/or through our Website (“Reservation Data”). The Reservation Data may be processed to complete your room reservation, supply the Services, customize our Services to your preferences, seek your feedback on your stay at our Hotel, and keep proper records of those transactions.
      • Communications: To communicate with you, to respond to any of your questions or requests, to update, notify, and inform you of any updates concerning our Website; to offer hospitality Services based on your preferences and prior stays at our Hotel. 
      • Internal Operations and Business Development: For our internal business operations, developing new services, enhancing the Website, improving our Services, identifying usage trends and visiting patterns, determining the effectiveness of our promotions, evaluating third parties’ performance (such as travel agencies), predicating the Hotel’s occupancy, and meeting contractual obligations.
      • Website Support: For data security;To allow you to access and use the Website; To ensure that the Website is functioning correctly and to secure, and improve them; To improve your user experience (e.g., change the location of certain buttons in the screens); To analyze and compile information, including statistical information collected from all our users, for modelling structure or to allow us to decide on certain changes in connection with your use of our Website.
      • Administrative and other Communications: To send you important information regarding our Website, changes to our T&C and other policies, or other administrative information (e.g., information regarding your travel reservations, such as confirmation emails).
      • Marketing and Promotions (subject to your consent): To communicate news and promotions to you regarding our Services (including spa, gym, restaurants, etc.) for marketing purposes in the way of regular delivery of our newsletter by e-mail. The newsletter contains marketing information, such as information on our own products or service offerings or about corresponding promotions, events, special benefits, posts/articles, etc. For your information, as mentioned above in section ‎3.1.8, you may withdraw your consent to receive our newsletters at any time.
      • Safety and Security: To maintain your safety and security as well as that of other guests and staff, while you visit our Hotel.
      • Third Parties: The Hotel may provide information about you to third parties, including advertisers and IT service providers, in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
      • Our Legal Duties: To comply with legal and regulatory requirements or demands in accordance with the Applicable Law or other legal processes.
  • Cookies and Tracking Tools 
    • To enhance your experience on our Website, we may use “Cookies” and tracking tools including tags (collectively: “Cookies”). Cookies are concise fragments of text that are transmitted to the browser on your device. They serve various purposes and can be categorized into two types: permanent cookies, which persist in the browser for a specified duration or until manually deleted by the user, and usage-dependent cookies, which are automatically erased upon concluding the browsing session.

      • Service providers working with us to provide you with our Services (such as our vendors that provides services to the Hotel, such as the Spa, Gym, and restaurant in the Hotel which are operated by third parties), to provide you with a better hospitality experience, which may store, and otherwise process information about you on servers or databases located outside of your country of residence, including outside of the EU or Israel, which could have different data protection laws. By using our Websites and Services, you acknowledge and agree to this kind of processing. If you do not want your personal data transferred, stored or otherwise processed as mentioned above – please do not submit any information to us.
      • A representative or travel advisor(s) that has supplied us with your Personal Information (for example, your travel agent, personal assistant, employer, or spouse who has provided us with your details).
      • Authorized vendors and sub-processors such as booking vendors to allow booking online, such as: https://www.bookingholdings.com/ and https://expediagroup.com/, https://www.simpleprofit.it/ which we encourage you to review their privacy policy, as well as IT vendors, cloud service providers, our lawyers, insurers, and accountants.
      • Our marketing and advertisement partners, in order to provide you with more relevant ads on our Website, subject to their Privacy Policy. 
      • Among the Elco Group subsidiaries: The Hotel is owned and operated by Elco Ltd. (the “Elco Group” or the “Group”), and certain Personal Information may be shared internally among the Group entities and our affiliated when required for our business operation and for information security. We will, in such circumstances, safeguard the Personal Information as set out in this Privacy Policy and for the Purposes as specified above.
      • Reorganization: During a change in the Group’s or the company’s structure, corporate reorganization, or upon the acquisition of the Hotel by a third party.
      • Legal requirements: To the extent required or authorized by law, if we think it is necessary to comply with the law or if we need to do so to protect or defend our legal rights, or the rights of others (including to investigate and protect our users from fraudulent or unlawful use of the Website), we will share your Personal Information with third parties requiring information for legal reasons or third-party investigators, authorities, regulators or law enforcement bodies.
    • We will share Personal Information with such third parties and service providers only to the extent necessary to receive services from these parties or if required under law, such as upon the legal requirement of duly authorized government bodies and law enforcement agencies.

  • How do we secure your Personal Information?
    • We implement reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical measures to protect Personal Information from unauthorized access, disclosure, destruction or alteration, accidental loss, misuse, or damage. However, you acknowledge that the Hotel cannot guarantee the protection of the Personal Information you provide to us, or guarantee that there will be no unauthorized access, disclosure, destruction or alteration, accidental loss, misuse, or damage to the Personal Information.
    • To ensure the utmost security of your payment information, the payment clearing process is conducted through a third-party provider that complies with PCI standards. This ensures the safeguarding of your payment details. However, it is important to acknowledge that the Hotel cannot be held accountable for any direct or indirect damages or losses incurred as a result of the payment clearance process. 
    • In the course of provision of your Personal Information to us, your Personal Information is likely to be transferred over the internet and/or stored on a cloud-based server. Although we make  efforts to protect the Personal Information which you provide to us, the transmission of information over the internet and storage in a cloud-based server is not completely secure. As the communications with the Services is done by means of the internet, and as an online Website, we cannot guarantee that the use of our Website and Services or the interaction therewith will be 100% free viruses, worms, Trojans, and all other malware which are otherwise out of our reasonable control.
    • As such, you acknowledge and accept that we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information transmitted to or automatically created by the Services we offer and that any such transmission is at your own risk. We will not be liable for any damage caused by such unauthorized access or use, as long as we adhere to acceptable information procedures and measures.
    • Please note that you are responsible for the use of personally identifiable information and your device, including regarding your Hotel reservation(s) details. For example: in order to protect your Personal Information from data incidents such online fraud (“phishing”), do not provide identifying information to others (e.g. by e-mail), make sure that the contact information you provide us (including your phone number and e-mail address) is correct and updated. You should take steps to protect against unauthorized access to your device and e-mail(s) by, among other things, signing off after using a shared computer, choosing a robust password that nobody else knows or can easily guess, and keeping your log-in and password private, use anti-virus measures, and computer security means on your end equipment from which you browse our Website. You should make sure to update software, downloads only from official sites, use encryption, avoid using public computers or public WIFI networks, do not share sensitive information on social networks.

    • We will only keep your Personal Information for as long as we need to fulfill the purposes we collected it for or as demanded by Applicable Law.
    • To decide how long we should keep your Personal Information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or sharing of your Personal Information, the purposes for which we process your Personal Information, and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.
    • In some circumstances, we may remove your identity from your Personal Information (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for statistical purposes, in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

    • If you are a data subject in Israel, you have the right to access, update, or delete your Personal Information if it is incorrect, incomplete, unclear, or out-of-date. 
    • If you are a data subject in the EU: (i) you may ask us for a right of access to your Personal Information in order to obtain clear, transparent and understandable information on how we process your Personal Information and on your rights (as provided in this Privacy Policy), and to receive a copy of your Personal Information (ii) you have a right of rectification of your Personal Information in case your Personal Information are obsolete, inaccurate or incomplete; (iii) in certain circumstances under applicable laws you have a right to delete your Personal Information; (iv) in certain circumstances under applicable laws, you can request data portability, meaning that you are also entitled to obtain from us the Personal Information you provided us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and have the right to transmit it to another data controller;  (v) in certain circumstances under applicable laws, you have the right to restrict processing of your Personal Information, during a limited period of time; (vi) You have a right to object the processing of your Personal Information when the processing is based on our legitimate interest. We will no longer process your Personal Information unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, such as the respect of a legal obligation (e.g. legal obligation involving the retention of documents), or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims; (vii) not to be subject to any decision made solely based on automated decision-making and profiling; (viii) withdraw your consent when it has been obtained and processing is based on consent; and (iv) You have a right to submit a complaint to the relevant local supervisory data protection authority.

Our Website may contain links to and from websites of other providers not affiliated with us, as well as social networks. After clicking on the link, we no longer have any influence on the processing of any data transmitted to the third party when the link is clicked (such as the IP address or the URL on which the link is located), as the usage by third parties is naturally beyond our control. Please note that any such third-party site or source may collect your personal information and use it differently from us. The company has no control over what is done with information collected on those sites and therefore it holds no responsibility whatsoever for how they collect or process the information, share information with third parties or any other action they take with the information they have collected. Therefore,  we cannot assume any responsibility for the processing of such data by third parties. if you are referred to an external site, as noted, you are advised to carefully read the conditions of use and/or privacy policy of that site because this policy does not apply to them.

As generally principal, data processing is held within Israel borders, data processing by third parties or cloud service providers may be held on servers around the world such as cloud services providers which might be held outside the borders of Israel (which may include transfer to locations outside of Israel, that may offer a lower level of data protection than in Israel).

We are entitled to change and update this Privacy Policy from time to time, at our sole discretion, without having to provide notice thereof. Responsibility for becoming familiar with the changes, if any, made by this Privacy Policy rests with you alone.
